Are you the designated attorney for someone who needs help managing his or her affairs? Do you want someone to act as your designated agent if you will be out of town for a while? Where is your original will? Where are your deeds? Where is your actual insurance policy? Where is your order of custody to the minor child traveling with you?

Locate these documents and take them with you. Many places will not accept a regular copy, requiring either the original or a filed and CERTIFIED copy of legal documents.
